Street Sweeping

The Department of Public Works is responsible for street sweeping.  Every spring, sweeping begins on the main lines of the city, followed by side streets on a ward-by ward basis.  The schedule rotates every year, so that the first ward done in one year is moved to the bottom of the list in the following year.

 This year's schedule as of May 6, 2012

Ward 4: Complete!

Ward 5: April 11- May 2 (Complete except FSU area. Will return after exams)

Ward 3: May 3- June 8 (In progress)

Ward 2: June 11- June 29

Ward 6: July 2- July 20

Ward 1: July 23- August 10

Residents are asked to sweep sidewalks in front of their homes.  Sand should be placed in wind rows- not in piles-  so that the equipment can successfully remove it.
