November 20, 2012 - There will be a Public Hearing on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7pm in the Library at Memorial Middle School, 615 Rollstone St regarding the Classification and Taxation of property according to use, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 797 of the Acts of 1979 as amended by Chapter 79 of the acts of 1983.

November 17, 2012 – Dance 2 Swing lessons at the Fitchburg Senior Center with DJ AlanHep2theJive from 7 – 11pm. Admission $10 per person. All proceeds to benefit the Fitchburg Senior Center. For more info call 978-829-1790.

Paving Projects:

--Ashby State Road, Paving completed on Aug 29. Misc repairs week of Oct 15.
--Rindge Rd, Roundabout to point 2000 ft north of Bennett Rd. Old pavement removal and grading complete; First layer of paving complete; Manhole structures and driveway aprons complete; Final paving complete.
--Ashby West Rd, north of bridge. Culvert replacement complete. Paving complete.
--Blossom (Main to Pearl; Hawes to Mt Vernon)/Crescent: First paving course complete. Final paving complete.
--Fisher (JFH to Richardson)/Marshall Rd (near Skyview): Reclaim & pave (1st course) complete. Top course Fisher/Marshall complete.
--Franklin Rd, south of Depot St: Old pavement removal Weds, Oct 24. First paving course complete. Structures, drainage work and final paving in November.
--Broad & Circle Streets: Structures work complete. Final paving complete.
--Almount Terrace: First paving course complete. Final paving complete
--Jeffrey St: First paving course complete. Final paving complete

July 27, 2012- City Hall will be closed for business all day Friday. Clean up Should be finished by the end of the day and we expect to Re-open Monday with our normal hours.

Update! July 22, 2012- Line Painting: Re-striping of principal streets in the city will be completed on Sunday, July 22, after 8 pm. Be on the alert for the painting truck; striping will be wet for a brief time.
