Summer Playground Program 2019
Join the Rec Department in your local park this summer for crafts, sports, games and more. Free lunch included for those 17 and under through the USDA Summer Food Service Program.
The Summer Playground program is open to children ages 2-17. Participants under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult for the day. The program runs July 8th- August 23rd, Monday—Friday from 9:30am—2:30pm, weather permitting. This program is offered to Fitchburg residents at NO COST.
Three field trips will be offered this the summer. Field Trips are optional and have a registration fee. Registration is available online. Registration forms will also be distributed during the program. Trips are on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited so register early! Trips are subject to change and may be cancelled if registration is limited.

The Fitchburg Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel participating parks due to low resident participation.

SUMMER NUTRITION PROGRAM
The Summer Nutrition Program does not require participation in the Summer Playground Program, however participants must check in at the park before 10am.
Lunch is provided free of charge through the Department of Education and the Fitchburg Recreation Department to all children participating in the Summer Playground Program.
Children receiving a lunch must be signed in and at the park by 9:45 AM. Lunch will be served from 10:55 to 11:45. Lunches must be consumed at the playground.
