Business Certificates (DBA)
All businesses other than corporations or individuals doing business in their own name or corporate name must file a business certificate with the City Clerk.

Dog Licenses
All dogs must be licensed and should wear the tag.

Marriage Intentions
Read the requirements and filing fee for marriage intentions. The City Clerk is a Justice of the Peace and is available to perform marriage ceremonies by appointment.

Certificate of Registration - Flammables and Explosives
Holders of a License granted by the City of Fitchburg to keep and store flammable or explosive materials (aka Land License) must submit a certificate of registration annually for the the use of the license. A current certificate of registration must be on file to have any additional permits required for the keeping storage, manufacture or sales of flammables or explosives issued.

Auction Permit
All Auctioneers must have a local Auction Permit to conduct auctions within the City of Fitchburg. Auctioneers must all be licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachsuetts

Common Victualler
All restaurants must have an annual Common Victualler License.

Hawker & Peddler License
Any Vendor selling merchandise in the City of Fitchburg is requested to have either a Business Certificate issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or a City of Fitchburg Hawker & Peddler License.
