Overdrive is available on iTunesGoogle PlayMicrosoft & Amazon

Your C/W MARS library card allows you to borrow ebooks from other library networks in the state. There is, however, no single sign in. You need to sign into each library system separately.  You can set up each network from the Libby or Overdrive apps or using the links below the App instructions. To use the Libby app, open the app, click on the little head on the top right of the first screen, click on “Add a library,” and type one of the network names below, such as SAILS or NOBLE.  After you find the book you want to borrow, click on "I am visiting from another library", click on “sign in with my library card,” choose CW MARS, enter your library card’s barcode (without spaces), and click “Sign In.”
You can add multiple library networks to your Libby app, and choose among them to browse for ebooks. For help with accessing ebooks, call or visit the Fitchburg Public Library.

You can borrow materials from the other consortia. The loan periods are subject to the local rules of that consortium and not to the rules of CW MARS. You can place holds on materials in other consortia. In fulfilling holds, the system will always give preference to cardholders of that consortium (as opposed to cardholders from outside the consortium). A CW MARS cardholder placing a hold in the Minuteman collection, for example, will always have her hold ranked lower than Minuteman cardholders holds on the same title. Please report any issues to a librarian at 978-829-1783

New E-BOOK HOLDS policy

If you are notified that an e-book you put on hold is available, but you aren’t ready to read it, you can suspend the hold and not lose your place in line. No more auto-checkout!.

When you are notified that a hold is available, you have three days to borrow the title, or to suspend the hold and keep your place in line. If you do nothing, you will automatically be given a one-time seven day hold.

Confused about Libby versus Overdrive? About ebooks in general? Here is a great informational resource.
