The City of Fitchburg invites sealed bids for the demolition of three city properties, which has an estimated construction cost of $450,000.
Bids will be received until February 10th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the office of the Chief Procurement Officer, City Hall, 718 Main Street, Suite 208, Fitchburg, MA and at the designated time and place publicly opened and recorded. Contractor shall be DCAMM certified.
A bid deposit of at least five percent (5%) of the total project is required. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the successful Bidder. Project is subject to compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the scope of work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder.
A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on February 4th, 2026 at 10:00 AM at 580 John Fitch Highway. Bidders shall examine all information and materials contained in and with this solicitation. Failure to do so shall be at the bidder’s risk.
